Mr. Henricksen served as VP of Exploration for Aegean Metals Group in 2012, leading the senior field team in identifying, evaluating and acquiring 2 high-grade gold-copper prospects (VMS Hot Maden and Ergama) in Turkey. In 2005, Mr. Henricksen served as senior geologist for AQM Copper, which won a bid from Teck to explore and develop a copper-gold deposit (Zafranal) in Peru, resulting in a 500MM ton copper resource. Prior to this, Mr. Henricksen served as a member of the Arctic exploration team that successfully identified the Red Dog mine in Alaska, now the world’s largest zinc reserves. Before this, Mr. Henricksen led efforts to secure Eskay Creek for US Borax (Rio Tinto), which at the time became the world’s highest-grade gold mine and the 5th largest silver mine by volume. Mr. Henricksen was also Chief Geologist of Norsemont Mining (TSX: NOM) which sold to HudBay for $520mm. He holds a BSc in Geology from University of Wisconsin, and a PhD in Economic Geology from Oregon State University.
